When I hear someone else call my best friend their best friend
Watch me analyze the shit out of these two new Catching Fire posters on Tor.com. Because my favorite part of the second book (pre-Games, at least) is Katniss and Peeta totally playing Panem with their star-crossed reality TV engagement.
The Hunger Games trailer felt like such a letdown—yes, it was awesome to see Katniss racing through the Arena and getting sabotaged. But we couldn’t have had less action and more of the book’s reality-TV intrigue? I would’ve loved to see Peeta declaring his love for Katniss in front of Panem’s millions of viewers, or some of the other tributes plotting in the Arena.
But I also feel like a little bitch for whining, since we did get to see this much. Thoughts/other reactions?
